Our school is a Title 1 school where many of the students are living below the poverty line, are English Language Learners, and are FARM (free or reduced-price meal) students. In my classroom, I have the most amazing students. I love seeing how excited they are to come to school and learn. My students learn through exploration and play. I need more classroom resources to make sure my students are getting the best experience. Pre-K is the first school experience for my kids so we work hard to create a warm, welcoming environment where students feel comfortable to learn. My Project
We need children's books for our classroom library and listening center. I will also use them based on our weekly theme for our read-aloud story time. "If you want kids to WANT to READ...then read amazing books aloud EVERY single day." -Anonymous
I want my students to WANT to READ.
Some of my students are becoming readers. Having these fun books can help students want to try to read and practice their reading and book handling skills. Many students like to read or look through books that they have seen me read. Modeling is a great way to get students excited about reading.
