My Students

"Teacher, my book doesn't have a page 43. We don't start on page 67, teacher my page is blank!" Can you imagine the disaster associated with multiple versions of the same book!?

We are located in the hills of an urban area in Northern California.

We are a kindergarten to eighth grade school that has about 500 students. Our middle school as nearly 100 students that have very diverse needs. Our community partners with our classroom to ensure success and we couldn't be more thankful!

My Project

Our students will use the class set of the book The Glass Castle to read during whole-class literature discussion. The addition of this class set of books will allow our students to have meaningful, engaging literature that will connect to their students as they learn about everyday America.

Do you remember reading stories as a kid where the character really struck a nerve with you?

Like Ole Yeller or Little House on the Prairie?! We hope to give the same memories to our middle school students!
