My students are curious. They are a multitude of different types of learning and living conditions, but they all come through my classroom every day, ready to take on whatever challenge I set before them.
My students love reading a variety of books in my classroom.
My students are incredibly lucky to have both a reading and writing ELA class daily. It has been proven that my students have a better grip on how to approach reading and writing in upper grade levels because they have such an opportunity while in middle school to focus doubly on Language Arts. All of these perks help make my students more well rounded learners (and readers).
My students will have access to high interest, state nominated books that are age appropriate for my classroom. These books will be able to be checked out from my library for students to take home and enjoy. These books are all nominated by Missouri school librarians and have been selected as quality books for young adults based on their readability, character development, and other specific criteria.
Having these books accessible in more than just our school library means that more kids will have a chance to get their hands on them and enjoy these books since our library has limited copies of each one.
