As a teacher, I know that motivation is essential for successful teaching and learning experiences. I want my students to be enthusiastically involved in their learning, so I strive to use engaging texts and teaching techniques and nurture engagement by encouraging students to read for authentic purposes, make personal connections, focus on comprehension, and respond in meaningful ways. But first, I need books!
I'm asking for your help in building a book-rich environment that includes critical literacy and high interest titles.
These books will be used for independent reading, shared reading, and buddy reading, too. The titles include authors, illustrators, and characters that my students are in love with.
