My Project

My fourth grade class loves to read. We are working on enhancing our reading comprehension with novel projects that interest the latest generation. I am hoping to instill a lifelong love of reading in my students. In order to accomplish this goal I need to add a class set of The Wild Robot to our classroom. My goal is to create a buzz of reading novels and get students wanting to read series of books!

Giving students access to a current novel while increasing their comprehension is key.

Education is continuing to change every day, as the interests are of students. I want to be able to provide a topic of conversation within students by reading highly interesting novels and create the love of reading. Students don't realize they are reading high level text when they are engaged and wanting to discuss their learning. This conversation eventually goes home to families and parents hear what their children are learning.
