My Students
My students in Shelby, NC love to read! I love seeing them get hooked on a series and read every single book. They beg me to go to the library and are so excited when I get new books in our classroom library.
My students come to school every day wanting to succeed, learn, and achieve their goals. Every quarter students set individual goals they want to reach in their reading. And every two weeks we make classroom goals. We are a goal oriented class!
My Project
Our third-grade classroom is in need of new books! My students love reading and our book center is their favorite space in the classroom. Unfortunately, after years of teaching, the books have been misplaced and worn, but extremely loved.
With the addition of new books, the students in my classroom with be able to go on new adventures and explore diverse cultures.
My goal as a classroom teacher is to create a safe and enriching classroom where students are gaining skills and becoming independent readers. I feel that it is important to have books in my classroom library that are current with the times.
This classroom project was brought to life by A group of anonymous donors
and one other donor.
