Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students will be amazing. I will teach about 130 6th graders this year. My students will be required to read lots of books this year.

For most of these students, this will be the first year that they will be required to read a certain amount of books.

They need a variety of books to select from, so they can accomplish this goal.

I will help my students love to read by having a variety of books. I will help my students show growth in reading this year by giving them a chance to read a good book.

My Project

These books will help my classroom library grow, so students will have a variety of books to read. I will have 130 total students that I will be teaching. They will be required to read a certain number of books each Nine weeks.

We have a lot of reading growth each year, and I think it is because we require the kids to read.

It is important to have a variety of books, so kids can pick books that interest them. I want to help students love to read.

We also give the kids a huge party when they reach their reading goal. They love these parties.
