My Students
Kindergarten is such an exciting place! It is a group of mixed interests, abilities, and goals. Some of my students are readers, some are learning to read, and some are learning to be a part of our class and school community.
We are learning every day through reading, play, and hands-on activities.
Our school is located in Northwest Arkansas and over half of the students in our school come from low-income households. I want to provide all of my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences.
My kindergarten students love to learn, they are curious and full of wonder. They are proud of their learning and accomplishments! They enjoy engaging stories, lessons and hands-on activities that help them retain information and increase problem-solving skills.
My Project
Reading aloud is the most important activity for building the knowledge and developing the skills my students will need for learning to read. Having a collection of fiction and nonfiction books to read aloud will engage students and enrich their learning experiences in many subject areas.
By donating to our project, my students will not only show increased attention and focus, but they will ultimately increase their academic achievement.
All of these books have been chosen with my students and our curriculum in mind. These books will continue to enhance the print-rich classroom that I strive to create. The books that are placed in our classroom are treated with love and care. We are thankful for them and for the opportunity to read them.
