Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

In our school the community, faculty and staff, and administration firmly believe that we can "Empower Our Future One Child at a Time." Our students are encouraged to be life learners, to be kind to one another, and be leaders.

Our school corporation is located in central Indiana in a rural community where students come from a wide range of socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds.

Our faculty and staff are committed to helping develop each child in a supportive, caring, and nurturing environment.

My Project

This is my first year teaching in a Kindergarten classroom and I am loving it! My favorite part of each day is our read aloud time. It opens the door to wonderful conversations with my kindergarteners.

I am a big believer in holding a book in your hands, and taking the time to fully explore the illustrations on each page.

Our curriculum focuses on one to two books for each literacy unit. I am currently using our local library and YouTube to read or listen to the listed stories. By having each listed book, I will be able to put every story into the little hands of my kindergarteners.
