My Students

My students are an amazing group of young children. They are bright, energetic and full of knowledge.

They love to read!

They spend their day challenging me and inspiring me. They can't sit still and are constantly on the move. They have different backgrounds. Most come from low income homes where love and attention is rare. They bounce off the walls for love. They never give up and want to be the best that they can possibly be. They are the future of our lives

My Project

My children need a listening center to enhance student learning.

The listening center and accompanying books will enhance comprehension and fluency for the students.

My children love to read and really love to listen to books as they are reading the The books and listening center will enhance learning of fiction and non fiction text and understand the concepts of the text. They will be able to read and re read text again to find more information that they can apply to test comprehension questions. Unfortunately, my prior listening center was own by my other school so I could not bring it with me. If I could have this center my student's overall weekly test scores would improve dramatically. They would be able to take charge of the learning and read different levels of books on a variety of topics. I would love to see the students really grow this year!
