Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students from Dover, NJ are in first grade. I have beginner readers who would benefit from having a books to take home to read that are grade level appropriate.
Reading is a key element in first grade.
Reading homework is sent home each day. I would love to help each child with a collection of leveled reader books that can be read and practiced at home.
I love teaching the foundation of reading and the importance of reading practice. Reading at home is an important way students practice each day. Many students do not have the appropriate leveled books and supplies to read at home. I am happy to send books home and have children borrow and return them each day.
I am excited to have eager readers!
My Project
First grade is an important year. It would be nice to have children read books that are on grade level. The feeling of holding a book in your hand and turning the pages is something a computer cannot provide! My class would be very grateful to have leveled reader books to take home and practice each week.
We already have book buddy pouches that will keep them safe.
The children will love the Scholastic books requested here. We love reading! We love books! My children deserve a variety of stories and books that will help them build a love of learning!
