Hi! I have some awesome third graders this year. They are eager beavers who love learning. They can be competitive, but it's because they want to learn new things. They help others who struggle and are really team players.
They are also fantastic readers!
They love spending time in our school and classroom libraries. I love how they challenge themselves in choosing a "just right" book. I feel as though they have been exposed to so many genres of books this year and they are learning to expand their reading .
My Project
My students are need of these requested Connect & Store book bins to keep their book selections and guided reading materials organized. I'm sure you can imagine what a third grader's desk looks like without organization. Not pretty. I think these bins are just what they need to make them more responsible students.
We also are need of some books and book sets for our literature circles including Wonder, The Watsons Go to Birmingham, Amelia Bedelia, and Bridge to Terabithia.
The kids need these rich and diverse reading materials to make real-world connections. I think these sets will help my students expand their reading comprehension and challenge them. These books are a great start to expanding our classroom library.
