My Students

I strive to create an environment in which my students feel safe, welcomed, and loved. They have the chance to explore, discover, learn, and grow during First Grade.

They are young, creative minds that have a desire and need for knowledge.

They have a natural, respectful attitude and are curious as to how they can make our classroom, school, and community a better place. There is a buzz about books in my classroom and they deserve resources to fulfill that buzz and excitement.

My Project

My students need book bins to organize our classroom library. We have many books to choose from for student self-selected reading, but it's sometimes hard for students to find their "just right" book.

Every student deserves the chance to easily access books that spark interest and learning.

My students will use these bins to easily find books to read during our self-selected reading time across a variety of genres and topics. They will be able to access the book bins in our class library every day as they find books that they want to read. It will cut down on wasted time as they look through bins and get right to the reading.
