Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have yet to meet my students as I will be transferring into their current classroom. They currently have a substitute in their class who provided her own books for them but she has to take her own books with her as she leaves the class. I have heard that they love reading and are very sweet students so I want to provide a classroom with material to read. I want to make this transition as smooth as possible for my new students.
My Project
My new classroom is empty with no reading material for the students. I want to provide a classroom library full of books of all levels to reach all students in my class. It will help them have a better understanding of the real world and universal literature. Books help kids develop basic skills and it can help expand their vocabulary. Books will enable my students to increase their knowledge of a variety of different words and sentence structures, resulting in an increase in the students test scores and overall academic ability. This will allow my students to continue their love for reading.
