My Students

My second graders are awesome. In our classroom we strive to build a community that is engaging, empowering, and fun. Each student brings their own unique voice, interests, and learning style into the classroom and we work to value every individual for who they are. I strive to help support students in feeling comfortable and motivated within the classroom and within the community as a whole.

I am a new teacher and want to make sure I give the best learning environment to my students.

We have a very engaging, exciting, hands-on learning environment. I want all of my students to be the best they can be. We make every day a fun learning experience.

My Project

I want my students to want to read. In order for this to happen, they must have books that they are interested in. This project will give my students book series like Desmond Cole, Alvin Ho, Mindi Kim, Yasmin the great, Pedro etc. These are high interest books that are perfect for seven and eight year olds.

Help give my students high interest and diverse books that include characters from different cultures and ethnicities.

This project will fill my library and my Read Aloud's with books that are high interest and books that feature characters from diverse backgrounds. They will also be used during book clubs for engaging discussions.
