My students need a read-aloud library of books that Mrs. Lehman reads TO THEM consisting of social stories (that they can relate to) funny stories (to learn to love books) and some old favorites.
My students are sweet and inquisitive Kindergartners who deserve the very best classroom experience that I can offer them! Einstein said "Play is the highest form of research." Today we expect so much more of these kids than we ever have before! Help us keep learning exciting,playful, and FUN!
Funding one of our projects means making real change and putting tangible advantage into the hands of my kids.
We are a Title 1 classroom in a small, rural farming community. I love these kids and I hope to bring them all the smiles and love that they bring me everyday.
My Project
Our classroom needs a set of books for reading aloud to students. I've chosen some social stories like Clark the Shark (that kids can relate to emotionally and learn from) and some silly stories like I Will Not Eat You (so kids learn to love books) and some old Kindergarten favorites like Pete the Cat.
Remember what it's like to be read to?
Listening to the rhythm of spoken words, laughing at imaginary characters, and memorizing beautiful illustrations...
My kids need this in a time of technology and busy lives. These books will give our little library a great start!
