As a teacher in a high poverty school in rural Illinois, it can be hard for the school district to supply the necessary supplies students need. Teachers have to be creative when coming up with ideas on ways to receive items that will assist their students with being successful in school.
I have a classroom of seven and eight-year-olds with varying abilities, talents, and dreams.
My students are all different, colorful, and sugar sweet. My students love to learn, explore, and teach others.
My Project
We need more non-fiction books for our classroom library. We need books to keep our interests that we relate to.
Books help us learn and grow.
We have a high-interest with non-fiction books this year. Please help us grow our learning by adding to our library collection. We do not have as many non-fiction books as fiction books. Non-fiction books allow us to learn real facts. The facts that we learn will make connections in our brain to the outside world. Also, finding more books that we are interested in, will motivate us to read more and become life-long readers. The life-long readers in us will become life-long learners.
DonorsChoose is the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
