Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am a Kindergarten teacher. I have 22 students in my class. My students are 5-6 years old. They are fun, energetic, and curious students. They have a hunger for learning and that is what drives to be the best teacher I can be for them. With the majority of the school population being English language learners, I want to provide my students with a classroom environment that is encouraging, engaging and interactive. I want to be able to provide an atmosphere that helps my English language learners feel confident, motivated, comfortable.
My Project
I am a Kindergarten teacher in a Title 1 school. With the majority of the population being English Language Learners, I want to ensure I have the perfect classroom environment that will benefit my students.
Having these materials such as the document camera, will help provide a print rich environment with visuals that will allow my ELL students to gain the most learning.
With the document camera, I can display work during instructional time so that my ELL students can follow along and I can provide step by step instructions that will make it clear for my students.
With a laptop in my classroom, I can provide access for my ELL students to use our school wide programs that help our ELL students with learning. I would like to provide a print rich environment all around my classroom. With the post-it anchor chart pads, I can create anchor charts that can be displayed around the room. My ELL students will gain the most out of their learning with these anchor charts to help them during independent assignments.
My goal with all these materials, is to see my students flourish throughout the year and have access to the resources that will help them grow.
