My students attend a Title I school, so a majority of my students come from families with low incomes. Some of them are learning English as their second language and having hands-on and very visual learning experiences are best to really help them get the vocabulary and be successful as they are in the later years of elementary school.
My students are full of excitement about learning and love coming to school!
The students I work with are full of great questions and really care about doing their best. Some of them are dealing with some challenges in life, but they are all wonderful kids and a joy to work with!
My Project
With everything going on in the world it is extra important to have individual supplies for students. These books will give students more options to choose from. Our books have to be put in "quarantine" between each child using them which takes up the books quickly.
The math tools will help us with multiplication, area, perimeter, and fractions!
Being able to have individual supplies is crucial to learning at this time.
Having LEGO and bean bags will be for some adapted inside recess games as we go into the winter months.
