Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have the pleasure of teaching wonderful bilingual students who are learning both Spanish and English (Dual language program). I work with students who are immigrants from Mexico, Honduras, San Salvador, or Guatemala, as well as students who were born in the United States.
Most of my students come with limited educational opportunities.
They enjoy reading and being part of a learning community. Given the opportunity, all of my students can strive to be the best learner they can be.
My Project
I would love to give my wonderful students new books in English and in Spanish that will enrich their learning. Sometimes, it's difficult to find good Spanish books that my students are interested in. All my students have enjoyed reading some of the books that are in my library. These are just a few that some of them have been wanting to read.
My students will love to use wobble stools to help them read their new books and stay focused!
The love of reading and being lifelong learners is what I hope to instill in all of my students.
