I am so lucky to be teaching my 8 vibrant students. My class is made up of students with emotional disturbances and/or behavior concerns. They need small classroom settings, intense emotional and behavioral support and a loving, safe classroom.
Each day, I am overwhelmed to see the growth and smiles of my students as they engage in learning.
My students keep all involved on their toes, but it is by far the most rewarding job a teacher can ask for.
My Project
Children need choice in the books they read. They need books of high interest. And finally, they need options!
Let's get high interest books (and lots of them) into our students hands!
This donation will largely fund a major purchase of books for the classroom.
This project will help stock my students' classroom library, providing them with many books to choose from. My class is comprised of students ranging from K-2. This means I have students ranging from non-readers to second grade readers. I would love to provide each leveled reader in my class with many options to choose from at their independent reading level!
I have also included flexible seating for my students, which will increase focus and attention! My classroom has students with emotional needs, so I will use the stress balls to help calm and regain composure.
