"School is a building with four walls and tomorrow inside."
My twenty-three second graders are avid readers, writers, and mathematicians!
We have a wide range of abilities and interests in class. My students are full of curiosity and energy. They love to learn, explore new topics, and have fun while doing it!
My Project
Adding new materials to our classroom will provide my students with more options and opportunities to grow. These resources will allow my students to explore math concepts (time and geometry), fluent reading, learning habits, word study patterns, and more! The alphabet letter stamps will allow my students to explore word study patterns hands-on by stamping their word sort words in different colors and choosing letters that match their word patterns.
Students will use the slap bracelet watches to learn telling time and the 3-D shapes kit to build different geometric figures. The 'Hear Myself Sound Phone' will allow students to build fluency by clearly listening to themselves read outloud. Lastly, the privacy partitions and write-and-wipe folders will help support learning habits within the classroom.
Donations to this project will improve our classroom by providing students with a wide variety of materials.
My students will follow their own ambitions and interests, take ownership of their learning growth, and share that excitement with other students.
