My Students
I am a first-year teacher who is going to be teaching third grade. I don't know my students yet, but I know that I will love them! I will appreciate each of their personalities and what they bring to the classroom.
My Project
I am a first-year teacher in need of books for my classroom library and math manipulatives. I have researched grade level books for third graders and some of those are included in my project. I want to give my students access to books that will help them increase their reading level.
I know the importance of using math manipulatives in a lesson and having grade-appropriate books available for students.
Using math manipulatives in lessons not only helps students understand the information, but helps them remember it later on. If students have a way to connect the information they learn in a way that is more than just worksheets and lectures, they will remember it better.
