My students range from 9th to 12th grade, in a small high school, in South Carolina. They have been interested in reading Spanish books to improve the language. I teach great students, smart and self-motivated learners. Unfortunately, I do not have enough resources to complete a classroom library.
As a foreign language teacher, I would like to cultivate an interest in other cultures, by providing fun books to read in Spanish!
My goal is to expand my classroom library with books that are on their reading level and books that they genuinely want to read. I want to help my students grow as readers.
The best way to learn is by actually doing and experimenting. That is why teachers need to motivate students with projects and activities that will make students want to learn because they think that what they are learning is meaningful and useful. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.
My students will be more motivated to use the language when playing games!
I need a few more books to complete my classroom library and I will use the Pirinolas for cultural days, and the jump rope to practice numbers, days of the week and months of the year. It sounds like lots of fun!
