My students come to school each day excited and ready to learn. A typical day in our classroom is filled with questions, engagement, and lots of discussion. At the end of the year, my hope is that they leave my classroom filled, prepared, and excited for fourth grade!
My students love learning and inspire me with their creativity and imagination every day.
I love the differences in my students, and the different gifts they each bring to our room! Being an I.B. school, students learn how to be caring, peaceful, and tolerant individuals throughout the year. Students are truly able to see the world with an international world view.
At school, my desire is for the students to have access to whatever they need to enhance their learning. We want our classroom to be a haven for exploring, thinking, and constructing. I think this is one reason the students at our school love school so much!
My Project
These supplies will enhance literacy for my students. The books will be used for reading to self during the Daily 5, and the bean bags will be flexible seating options in our classroom.
My students love reading new and engaging texts.
I have students reading on many different reading levels, and these books will help them further grow a love of reading and writing. We will also use these texts to discuss themes, different types of literature, and author's purpose.
Our classroom library will be refreshed and refilled! Lastly, students will be able to check out books from our classroom library to take home and read when they may not have had that opportunity otherwise. Donations to this project will improve our classroom and the literacy of these students!
