My students need books and basic supplies to use in the classroom. All of these resources will help to close the gap opened during the loss of instruction during COVID-19 shut downs and school closures in the subject areas.
First, my students need a class set of books to use during our reading time.
We currently have the book "Sideways Stories from Wayside School" and would like to read the next book in the series. This book will help foster a love for reading as well as help students to master their reading fluency and gain skills in comprehension.
My students also need worksheets and activities to use in all subject areas. The TPT gift cards will be used to purchase pre-made materials such as worksheets and hands-on activities in reading, writing, math, and science. These resources will help students practice skills and concepts that were affected by the loss of instruction during COVID. Students will also need various supplies in the classroom such as Sharpies, writing pads, and paper for them to use during writing activities and assignments. The easel pads will be used to help reinforce concepts and skills in math and reading. For instance, when learning about fractions, I will create an anchor chart for the kids to refer to during the unit. In writing, I will demonstrate how to write a letter and then students will write their own using mine as a guide.
