Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are a creative, thoughtful, and empathetic classroom of learners with many shared similarities and unique differences. We learn in different ways and express our knowledge in a variety of formats. We come to school each and every day to learn and grow. We aim to improve our academics and balance that with social emotional learning to strengthen our school environment.
Located in East Oakland, we are a dedicated bunch of learners looking to improve our school and neighborhood community.
We do our best to be equitable and meet the learning differences and needs of all of our scholars!
My Project
My students love to read, have vivid imaginations, and a knack for expressing themselves. We want to take our reading beyond the pages of our books and find new ways to strengthen and show our learning. We also want to promote creativity and teamwork through group projects and collaboration. From book clubs to LEGO buildings, we aim to create a fun learning atmosphere that promotes and drives both our learning and play.
Our goal is to enhance our reading and learning experiences through hands on play that also helps us foster our creativity and cooperation.
Whether creating a scene from our books, following building instructions as a group, or expressing our creativity and imagination, we will always be motivated to learn new things.
