My Students

The students at Boulder Creek are amazing! They come into library ready to find greats books to read! I am new to the school this year and they have welcomed me with open hearts and arms. I cannot tell you how many of the students asked me about our book fair during the first week back at school. They are really looking forward to picking out some new books because they have a great desire to read.

My Project

I want all of my students to see themselves in the books they read. I also want my students to learn ways to help themselves through tough situations. Many of the books I have requested are to help with that. Some of the other books I have requested are for those students who are struggling to find they love for reading. I asked them what they liked so that I could get the books to help them get started. I think that reading can be a lot more fun if they are comfy and relaxed. The flexible seating will help to make our reading time more enjoyable.
