My students are a diverse group of eager 7th and 8th grade learners. They are enthusiastic and full of great ideas. My class is full of difference and they love to teach each other.
My students are future artists, builders, engineers, designers, writers, scientists, teachers, politicians, and farmers.
My classes are a joy to teach and they inspire me every day. I am eager to see the adults that they are becoming. With all of the diversity in my classroom, my goal is to foster all of their dreams through literature that is relevant and interesting to them.
My Project
These titles are interesting and engaging to students who are used to having their attention on screens all day long. I have been reading the previews of these titles to my students and they are all clamouring to check out the single copy of each available in our school library.
Having these titles in our classroom library will ensure that any student in my class who desires to read these stories, will have that opportunity.
Getting students engaged in a book is so rewarding. Having conversations with them about their reactions to events is unbelievably fulfilling for them and for me as their English teacher. There is no better feeling in the world than teaching a student to love reading.
