Hello, Hola, xin chào, Hallå, سلام, Kamusta, Olá, ہیلو, and welcome to this request for books project to encourage literacy and character development for energetic and enthusiastic students who represent many languages.
These loving children attend a high poverty, inland school in a state that is number one in prison spending and number forty one in education spending.
Though we have neither counselors nor teachers for music, art, P.E., the library, or computers, our deserving students benefit from an attentive, caring staff, and a "village" of generous supporters. We hope you will join us.
My Project
With your help, my students will soon meet a new classmate named Bookie Monster because she voraciously devours books. What better way to introduce her to her future (human) classmates than with a box full of books to share. Because we are a "Choose Love" district, my students have become particularly engrossed in character building books and stories that promote positive social values. Thanks to you, our small collection will grow to meet the demand of students who are hungry for more.
