My students come from a wide section of the Seattle population. They come from all types of backgrounds and all economic levels. The students have all types of educational levels from advanced learners to Special Needs and English Language Learner students.
I love seeing my students all engaged and working on their projects.
The SHORT BOOKS are easy and fast for the students to use for research and to focus their topics. My students love it when I say, "Do you want a short book for your research?"
My Project
By offering non-fiction books on a new bookcase students have one place to go to start their research. The mobility of the case will be a bonus; when classes are sharing the library we can pull this case over to work with our students one-on-one. We are creating a collection of less than 150 page books to assist students in starting their research.
By offering short books all students can feel successful when they begin their research.
The "Very Short Introductions" published by Oxford will be a part of the short book collection which will be on our new bookcase.
