My Students
A typical day in my classroom is full of adventure! We are constantly exploring, creating, and collaborating together. My students have a desire to learn, and it is my goal to help them exceed expectations.
I have 27 enthusiastic second graders in my class! They greet me each morning with a smile that tells a story. As a teacher, it is my job to ensure each child that walks through the doors of my classroom can be successful, despite their differences. Our community is diverse, yet the expectations are very high.
My Project
My students love to read! Each student has a book box full of self-selected books that are exchanged on a regular basis. To keep up with the love of reading, we need to add more exciting books to our classroom collection! These books will help students see the world from our classroom. It will take them to fictional places they have never been, as well as give them a different viewpoint of the world. They will be used during both independent reading as well as whole class read alouds. These books will be used on a daily basis by students for years to come!
