Next year I am moving from second grade back to fourth grade. I will have twenty-six fabulous fourth grade students who come from various backgrounds and learn in a variety of ways. This will be my twelfth year teaching at E.E.S. in , NY.
I am always looking for new ways to engage students and incorporate hands-on learning and collaboration in the classroom.
I can't wait to meet my new class of students this September! It is going to be the best year ever!
Year after year, students list our reading workshop as their favorite part of the day! Students love to read independently, with peers, in guided reading, and as a whole class.
Our classroom library is a great place to find books, but where can students store them safely until they are done?
My students need colorful book totes to store their books, folders, and various reading workshop materials. A large timer would also help students keep track of their time while practicing fluency, or during whole class games and activities. These items would help students manage their materials and time.
