This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach a self-contained class of gifted and talented (GATE) students at a Title I school. Our class of curious and bright students thrives on hands-on learning and engaging life experiences. They love to act, sing, dance, investigate, problem solve, and so much more!

As a Title I school, we are in dire need of hands-on materials for our students.

I want to continue bringing learning to life for my students on a daily basis and your support will help us reach our goal!

My Project

This year I would like my students to experience the wonder of theater and music in the classroom led by the amazing instructors at the San Francisco Opera Guild. The arts are known to have tremendous impacts on student learning, helping students to channel their creativity while learning key skills to be successful in the classroom and the real world. The Book to Bravo program incorporates all this and more by bringing history and the arts to life in the classroom through the creation of an original musical. My classroom of Gifted and Talented students thrive off the opportunity to research and bring to life a historical period through script writing, acting, songwriting, and more. Please help us to make this happen! Thank you so much!
