My Students

In my classroom, I have a mixed variety of students. I have students who are English learners and students who have learning disabilities.

My students are a fun-loving group who enjoy reading and being read to.

We come from a very small area and getting certain books and supplies are very limited. My students deserve the best and I want to give it to them in every way I can.

All of my students deserve an equal and great education.

My Project

These books will allow my students to complete an interesting book study on Because of Winn-Dixie. We can dive into the characters, live in the settings, and explore new vocabulary words by reading this book.

We plan on completing a book study and then we are going to compare characters, settings, and how the book relates to the movie.

My students are going to have to read to discover about abandonment and loneliness, as well as friendship.

Because of Winn-Dixie is a great tale and the main character is the same age as most of my students in my classroom (10 years old).
