Our building has 3 kindergarten classroom with 18-20 students in each class. Some of our students and families have been part of our school culture since preschool and many families are new to our learning environment.
Curriculum is every changing and as teachers, we are always looking for the best practices to teach our students.
Our students are very diverse. We have students from various nationalities and different socioeconomic backgrounds. We have a wonderful culture at our school and strive to help students when they are struggling emotional, or academically. We have created safe spots, sensory breaks, mindfulness times, implemented yoga and more to help children with self control and controlling emotions. We also have tutors, interventionists, and specialists to work on academics. As teachers, we need to buy supplies for our own classroom to help support our students learning.
A book binding machine will give students the opportunity to make books to take home and keep as memories. We will be able to make class books, individual books, and books like real authors write.
Students will feel like true authors when they publish their first book!
Families will be proud to see the work and progress their student makes from the first book to the last book of the year. Class books are a great way to promote a positive class climate and for students to learn the writing process. I am excited for the students to have a keepsake they will treasure!
