My Students

Our students are among the kids in the Milwaukee area who have little to no resources outside of the classroom. They don't let that stop them though, and are kind, silly, fun, and hardworking learners.

They work to do their best each day and as educators, it is our job to help them see and understand they can be whoever they want to be.

With a changing society, many of our students need support in new ways and we look to also help make them feel at home and understood.

My Project

These students do not have many accessible reading materials for their age and reading level. Many of them read at levels that do not match their grade. I'm hoping to take their reading to the next level but make it fun too.

They often have old, torn, or tattered books and I want to help instill a love of reading into their hearts and minds.

I'm doing this with seasonal favorites and classics. I can also use these books for read alouds in the classroom. Thank you for taking the time to think of our classroom.
