My Students
The Students at my school are happy and very energetic
children so they love action, their favorite books are Dog Man
and Diary of a Wimpy kid. The boys get so excited about the
Dog man books, I can't keep them in the Library.
Diary of a Wimpy Kid seems to be a hot item for the reluctant
readers, so of course I try and get as many of these books as I
can along with constantly trying to introduce them to other books
they'd like .
My Project
Our students that don't believe they should have to read out loud, because they don't read well. Books like Dog Man seems to give them the confidence to want to try harder and read aloud and because its funny and they don't seem to mind trying and they enjoy it.
Books are expensive and our students love certain books, putting lots of wear and tear on them. I usually buy several copies of the books they love but its hard to keep up with their great demand of their favorite books. I would greatly appreciate any assistance with our special book needs.
