My Students

FC Elementary School is a small rural school in northern Vermont that is committed to our students and community. Our mission is "to educate our children to become self-reliant and socially responsible individuals. They will respect themselves, their community, and the world around them. Ultimately they will develop the skills and confidence to become life-long learners." The students here in Franklin are enthusiastic, motivated, hard working, well rounded students who are nurtured both at home and school. Our students are encouraged to read a variety of books that spark their imagination and increase their knowledge. Our students are so excited when they can pick a book from the school library and even more excited to receive a new book of their own.

FC Elementary School has been giving books to our students for decades.

We would love to continue with this extremely important tradition! Your gift would allow us to continue this tradition and make even more books available to all our students. Thank you for this opportunity to increase the availability of books and inspire our students to learn and grow in reading!

My Project

Franklin Central School has chosen several fiction, and nonfiction books from AK that we will make available to our students at a book give away this year. We have a book give away twice a year which enables us to give students a choice of a variety of titles. The students can take these home to add to their personal libraries!

We try to give a wide variety of genres and grade level books to reach as many students as possible to spark a love of reading and to increase their knowledge on a variety of subjects.

We want our students to become life long readers.
