This is my second year teaching, but I am so in love with my group of witty, fun-loving 2nd graders! I want my kiddos to have the opportunity to succeed in any way possible. They are such smart, capable little humans who are willing to give it their all to succeed. This school year, I want my students to be successful academically and socially by providing them with all the materials they need.
I work in a Title I School, where there is a 100% free lunch rate, and a majority of the students are living in poverty.
These students deserve the world and I want to see them grow into the wonderful human beings they deserve to be.
My Project
Getting children to love reading is one of my favorite things to do as a teacher! I would love to have a display bookshelf in my classroom to allow students to see the different types of books we read throughout the year. In my classroom, our reading for the week is usually based around a theme - and my students are always digging through bins to find a book to match our theme!
If I had a display bookshelf, it would be easier for my students to find books dedicated to a holiday, season, or theme instead of digging through bins filled of books!
I would love any help you all could give to make this magic happen! My students and I would greatly appreciate the support from you all!
