Help me give my students books of different reading levels. This will allow me to accommodate all students. My students are on different reading levels, but they ALL should be able to participate in book clubs!
My students are the best! They each have their own likes and dislikes, strengths and weaknesses, and different backgrounds. They each are their own unique, individual person, but we come together as one to create such an amazing classroom family!
I hope that through my classroom, they will learn a love for reading, try their best, push themselves to achieve their goals, and know that they always have their teacher rooting for them!
These books will help us work towards some of these goals!
My Project
The books that are part of this project will be used to start book clubs in my classroom. Students will be split into groups of 4-5 students and given a choice of different books to read. The students will read and lead discussions on the books. When they are finished, they will start a new book.
My students are on different reading levels, but they should ALL be a part of a book club!
These book clubs will allow my students to take control of their own learning and give them a sense of independence and purpose for reading. It is a great way to incorporate peer collaboration and hopefully instill a new LOVE for reading (even for those who don't typically like it)!
