My Students

Can you remember reading a book that was so captivating that you could not put it down? Help my students to have a variety of books to read that they will want to read again and again.

The school where my classroom is has a high poverty rate and students are unable to buy their own books.

My goal with this project is to help students join their first book club and be able to read and talk about books that are fun and enjoyable. The 4th graders in my class will benefit by making their learning go a little farther when they share their ideas with friends in their own book club. This project will bring sets of books to our room that all kids will want to read.

My Project

Please help to create a reading environment in my classroom where students can be reading and sharing books in book clubs. By having a variety of books to choose from, students will be able to read what they choose and talk about it in book clubs. My hope is that the excitement will travel around our classroom and students will want to read other books that their friends are reading in their book clubs. Being able to read and talk about it with others helps build comprehension and motivation to keep on reading.

Help our class by donating to this project and getting students interested in their first book club.

Not only will they be reading fun books, they will be sharing and discussing them in book clubs which will build comprehension. Build lifelong reading enjoyment by helping fund this project.
