My Students
My school is located in Baltimore City. I teach in a middle school classroom. It's a pretty small school in comparison to many other schools around Baltimore.
How can I describe my students?
Bold. Outspoken. Inquisitive. Smart. Silly. Funny. Those are just some of the words that come to mind when I think of my students.
My students push themselves to succeed and learn new things on a daily basis. They persevere through adversities. I absolutely love my students, and I can't wait to see what positive things they contribute to the world.
My Project
For the upcoming school year, roughly 20 students will be able to take part in a joint Student Government Association and Project Lit Program, which will help students become literacy advocates and experts within our school and surrounding community. Your donation will help our Project Lit chapter to get the needed books to have our monthly book club meetings. These particular books are high interest and the plots feature a variety of characters from diverse backgrounds so that each and every student can see characters and plots that mirror their experiences and lives. This project is geared to help spread the love of literature, especially in a more diverse way.
