My Students

The students in my classroom are inquistive, bright, and bring a natural wonder and curiosity about learning with them each day. They have worked hard to push through all of the challenges that COVID has brought to their lives. Their happy attitudes and desire to learn brighten my day and push me on as their teacher.

My Project

Students in first grade have such varied levels of reading. Some are at the very beginning phases of reading development, while others are ready for chapter books. I love running book clubs in my classroom. The "clubs" are organized so that students are reading books at the same reading level.

Keeping all of the books organized takes so much space in my classroom, these carts will serve as storage, but also a convenient way to level books for each child.

This also helps follow COVID protocols to keep books safe.
