My Project

Reading is important in so many aspects of life. It allows children to grow, think larger and challenge what they know. Book clubs are an essential component of any reading classroom. Students in my Title I school often lack the opportunity to read outside of school so I love exposing my students to new books.

Getting new books, will build excitement and motivate my students to read.

Many students in my classroom are still learning how to comprehend a whole chapter book while including all the different skills that are needed. By utilizing book clubs, students will learn how to accomplish this task and learn to love reading as well. This book is exciting and allows my students to see the challenges the characters face while keeping it funny. We will be able to use this book to include so many skills from story elements, character traits, inferencing to just name a few. Thank you for supporting my classroom and allowing my students love and understanding of reading grow.
