Hello! I have a combined class of wonderful, enthusiastic, and warm-hearted 4th graders from Paradise, California. We are currently housed by the kind people of Durham. We are a hard-working group of students located in rural Northern California.
The Camp Fire has disrupted the education of these wonderful children, and 90% lost everything in the fire.
And many of their grandparents, extended families, and friends lost their homes as well. The Camp Fire destroyed our community.
My goal is to provide a comfortable space for learning and growing as we build our lives back together.
Thank you for considering our project!
My students have been so blessed to have many people donate books to our classroom library to get our reading back up and going.
It is time for Teachers to start book clubs with our students, but in order to do that we need multiple sets of a title so we can all have one to hold!
We are so excited to get back in a daily routine. We know some things will never be the same, but we are going to be here for each other in our learning.
Thank you for helping us get through this event and supporting our recovery. It means a lot to each and every one of us!
