This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am the faculty sponsor for an entirely student led book club. These students meet every week and are currently fundraising to purchase a book that they cannot check out from the library, but would love to read!

These students LOVE reading and just want the opportunity to have their own copies of our book club book.

The joy of reading and the special joy of annotating and owning a book are things you could bring to my students if you donate to this project. We will use the funding to purchase books for the students to read.

Again, this is entirely student led. They organize the meetings, they pick the books, they lead the discussions, and they are the ones who asked if they could get copies of the books that they could annotate and keep forever.
