My students need book bins in the classroom to have their own personal library. There are also wobble chairs to help with fidgeting on and off of their chairs, along with other classroom items.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are a wonderful, smart, and engaging group who are always willing to learn new things! I enjoy watching my students not only learn, but also teach each other in different ways. This program gives children from all cultures, areas, and various incomes an opportunity to learn and thrive within the district.
They come to school each day ready to try new things and take brave chances in order to grow both academically and personally.
They are my inspiration!
My Project
First there are wobble chairs in the list. These will help those students who have extra energy within them to get the wiggles out without disruption. There are dry erase boards, which the students will use mostly in math to help them work out problems without using paper! The boards can also be used in other subjects. Next, there are book bins. The students will be able to "book shop" from the classroom library, and then they will be able to hang on to those books until it is time to "return" them. Lastly, there are classroom utensils that are needed each day. There are pens to grade with, dry erase markers to use on the boards, and anchor chart markers to make learning posters for the students.
