My students need book bins to help organize materials in the classroom. As we move toward flexible seating next year, book bins will be essential in helping us keep our materials organized.

My Students
My classroom consists of twenty-five enthusiastic 8 and 9 year-olds. Our school lies in a rural, high-poverty district in western Maine. Although my students are faced with many challenges, they remain energetic, inquisitive, and creative.
My students are driven by curiosity; they constantly make insightful connections about the world around us.
My goal as a teacher is to create a classroom environment that fosters a love of learning and allows my students to explore their curiosity about the world. As I gain experience as a teacher, I recognize how important it is to create a classroom space and environment that best meets the needs of my students. They need opportunities to explore, move, and create do develop as learners.
My Project
Providing my students with individual book bins will be essential to our classroom organization. As we move toward flexible seating and table grouping instead of desks, students will need places to keep their supplies and materials.
Book bins will help us quickly access materials we need for learning.
We won't lose out on valuable learning time handing out supplies or trying to find materials! We will be able to take book bins with us as we work in areas of the room and have individual places to store our materials. This will allow us to be organized, responsible, and efficient!
