My Students

I love my kiddos! They are always looking to help me or classmates in the room and push themselves to meet my high expectations of them. They are kind and respectful of one another and the differences we all have that make a classroom unique! They balance busy lives with sports and clubs outside of school and still manage to give 110% on their homework and class work. Like all kids, they like to be on the move and work in different areas around the room. They do best if I let them work in groups with a flexible seating option.

My Project

I am in my second year teaching and love each moment! I want to give my students only the best education and materials. When I started out last year (a few days before the school year) I was rushing around to furnish my classroom.

My library I inherited with the room was very generous but a hot mess!

Books were everywhere and there was no rhyme or reason on where they were placed or where to find them. I purchased cheap, thin bins from the local Dollar Store as a quick fix and they have not been fulfilling their job. They are so thin that they crack and break apart quickly, letting books fall all over.

I am looking to order more current books for my library but want to have a quality storage system in place before then. I am asking for your help! Any contribution will help get my library to one that the students deserve! We appreciate it!
